ADUSA RELEASES NEW USER INTERFACE FOR ITS DELI KIOSK
Enhanced look and feel and many new features part of latest release
Lombard, Ill. (July 2, 2008) – ADUSA, Inc. today released a redesigned version of its S4G™
Deli Kiosk User Interface. The new UI contains a number of new features designed to make the kiosk
more effective in attracting and retaining customers, as well as increasing deli sales.
“The UI is perhaps the most important component in our system, because it is the first thing the
customer sees, and remembers, about the kiosk. When we design the screens that a customer
interacts with in our system, we use an approach that always focuses on ease of use and speed first,
but then also presents information about the product on a selective basis. In other words, important
information, such as a graphic image of the product, ingredients and nutritional information, allergens,
etc., is presented in a way that does not prevent the customer from speeding through an order it they
are not interested in any of the additional information at that point in time.” said Juan C. Perez,
president of ADUSA, Inc.
The new UI is still presented over Internet browser screens, as is the current one, but now contains a
new look and feel (during each implementation the base UI is customized to match the customer’s
logo, color schemes, store themes, etc.), with enhanced graphics, Flash animations, navigational
improvements, and all new voice prompts throughout. New features include, additional product
information such as ingredients and nutritional content, allergen indicator icons for prepared foods and
salads, lifestyle diet product search options, and a toggle button that enables customers to order deli
meats and cheeses by weight or by the slice.
