ADUSA CONFIRMS LARGER DELI ORDERS TRANSACTED OVER ITS KIOSKS

Average transaction on kiosks significantly higher than over-the-counter.

Lombard, Ill. (April 16, 2008) – ADUSA, Inc. today said that it had recently concluded a performance review of the deli self-order kiosks it has deployed at numerous clients, and that this review revealed some very positive information about its kiosks.

“The most important findings for us, and for our customers, are those that have to do with deli kiosk sales. I can’t speak for other deli kiosk vendors because our systems and processes employ a number of unique methods to help boost sales, but our analysis showed that the average deli kiosk transaction was a good deal larger than the over-the-counter transaction. Average deli kiosk transaction size at our customers was from 47% to 73% higher than the over-the-counter average.” said Juan C. Perez, president of ADUSA, Inc.

Another important finding from the informal study was that ADUSA’s kiosks exhibited near 100% availability. The kiosks were seldom down and therefore almost always available for customers to use; a key factor in growing kiosk usage rates and overall consumer satisfaction. Additionally, ADUSA found that customer usage rates are indeed increasing, and that the increases are directly proportional to the store’s efforts to market the kiosks. Added Perez, “Our customers will tell us that, for example, they conducted some demos which caused their kiosk sales to increase dramatically for the week, and remain higher in subsequent weeks. This not only validates our advice to them; it also confirms that consumers really do like to use the kiosks; they just need to be introduced to them a time or two. Another benefit of the kiosks that was raised by some customers was that it takes them less time to prepare a kiosk order because the deli associate can, for example, save a lot of back and forth by gathering all the products needed to prepare the order at once. That tells us that the kiosks are also having a positive effect on labor and productivity.
