DECA Awards Adusa, Inc. Second Self-Ordering Kiosk Contract
After initial Naval Station Commissary successfully installed, Air Force Commissary follows
Lombard, Ill. (July, 2007) – The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has awarded ADUSA, Inc. a contract to put self-ordering deli kiosks in its new Peterson Air Force Base commissary in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is a follow-up to the successful deli kiosk implementation at the San Diego Naval Station commissary. "We are continuing to work with DeCA, not just to refine the San Diego commissary installation, but to add additional commissaries as they require." said Juan C. Perez, president of ADUSA, Inc.
While the deli kiosks at the San Diego Naval Station commissary continue to show improvement, efforts are ongoing to attract more and more customers to the self-ordering process. At the new Peterson Air Force Base commissary opening on August 3rd, similar efforts will be undertaken to introduce customers to the self-ordering concept, and to keep them coming back.
According to Tom Milks, director of sales for DeCA, "As with San Diego, we will continue to evaluate these deli kiosks, and will hopefully be able to add to our evolving case for additional deployments. We continue to believe that self-ordering is the way of the future in retail and we’re continuing our efforts to make it available to our clientele." The kiosks will enable commissary shoppers to order deli products and party trays. Teaming up with ADUSA, Inc. to provide the kiosk hardware and peripherals will be ADUSA business partners NCR and Olea.
