Perez, Carroll, Ferrara named to key leadership positions Company to focus on self-service applications

Lombard, IL, October 4, 2004 – ADUSA, Inc., a leading provider of retail self-service and mobile solutions,
today announced several new appointments to its management team, including Juan
C. Perez as President and Chief Technology Officer, Rodney D. Carroll as Chief
Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer, and Barbara A. Ferrara as Vice
President of Sales.
Along with the management change, ADUSA is focusing its efforts primarily on
its RiteOrder™ software application, which enables self-service via in-store
kiosks that provide consumers with features such as deli ordering, product lookup/locator,
and information about wine, beer and spirits.
“Our new team combines experience and innovative thinking with the ability
to execute; these are crucial elements that will help keep ADUSA at the forefront
of retail self-service technology,” said Perez. “We are planning
a series of new services and applications to continue to help retailers to leverage
the growing self-service trend and differentiate themselves from their competitors
while providing a boost to their bottom and top lines.”
Perez has More than 20 years of experience providing information technology
solutions in the retail industry. He has held senior management positions in
the areas of system development, marketing, sales and strategic alliances. Prior
to joining ADUSA in 1998, he was the Chief Technologist and System Architect
for an IBM-owned software company providing solutions to retailers in the areas
of supply chain planning and supply chain execution.
Carroll has 20 years of progressive experience within the finance and operations
arenas. Prior to joining ADUSA in 2003, he was the Corporate Controller for
a multi-national software company providing solutions to retailers in the area
of supply chain execution. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ferrara joined ADUSA in 2003 and has more than 20 years of experience in the
information technology industry providing software and services to a variety
of industries including retail, distribution and manufacturing. She has held
senior level sales positions at a large consulting firm and at several software
and services organizations providing valuable expertise in ERP, CRM, Front and
Back-Office applications and process improvements along with complete supply
chain planning and execution.
