ADUSA's RiteOrder™ gains IBM StoreProven Certification
by Juan Perez, president and chief technology officer, Adusa, Inc.
Lombard, IL, December, 2001 – In December of 2001, ADUSA proudly received the IBM StoreProven certification for its RiteOrder kiosk-based order entry product. IBM created the StoreProven certification to mitigate the issues that can arise when retail companies purchase solutions from software vendors. As a result of rigorous testing, examination and, ultimately, certification of the RiteOrder product by a joint team of ADUSA and IBM representatives, buyers of RiteOrder are assured a quality product that will function smoothly on IBM point-of-sale (POS) platforms, in this case IBM's popular NetVista kiosk.
ADUSA Vice President of Business Development, Juan Perez said – "We are strong supporters of certification programs such as IBM's StoreProven offering. Ultimately, this program is all about simplifying and enhancing the retailers' buying experience and making the overall process more efficient."
The StoreProven program provides retailers who are in the market for an IBM POS solution with four key benefits:
- Retailers can use the StoreProven emblem to find dependable solutions that have been fully tested on IBM POS equipment.
- Retailers can choose from a wider variety of solutions. IBM expects the StoreProven program to continue to grow, giving buyers many choices to address their specific requirements
- Retailers can purchase new solutions with higher confidence. When a buyer selects StoreProven solutions, they are assured that the products have been fully tested and have passed the published IBM compatibility checklist
- Retailers can expect a faster and easier rollout since the StoreProven program uncovers compatibility issues thereby allowing easier installation and reducing the risk of last-minute revisions.
As part of the certification process, the RiteOrder product has also been added to IBM's Global Solutions Directory, an online listing of solutions available across all IBM platforms. The listings of StoreProven solutions as well as the Global Solutions Directory are all available throughout IBM's comprehensive web site. The easiest way to find the listings is by going to www.ibm.com and searching for "StoreProven" or "Global Solutions Directory".
ADUSA's RiteOrder product is not exclusive to IBM's NetVista kiosk platform. It also runs on NCR's Web Kiosk platform, as well as on numerous smaller kiosk manufacturers' platforms.
